मालवन, महाराष्ट्र में एससीएसपी के अंतर्गत क्षेत्र भ्रमण एवं सामग्री वितरण कार्यक्रम
Field visit and Input distribution programme at Malwan, Maharashtra under SCSP
ICAR–CCARI, Goa, organized a field visit-cum-distribution programme at Wayangani, Malwan, Maharashtra, on 19 March 2026, with the participation of 20 farmers from the village (all male) under SCSP. Dr. Sreekanth G.B., Senior Scientist (FRM), interacted with the farmers and advised them to adopt integrated farming systems involving crops, livestock, dairy, and fish farming to enhance productivity and increase farm income. Input support in the form of a grass cutter machine, cast nets, trolley, multipurpose crates, and crab traps was provided to strengthen their farm activities. The farmers expressed their sincere gratitude for the support and assured wholehearted cooperation in the institute’s research and development initiatives. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mrudul Pendurkar (YP-1), with farmers appreciating the institute’s efforts in promoting coastal agriculture and integrated livelihood development in the region. Field visits were also conducted to farmers’ fields cultivating watermelon, sweet corn, millets, rice, coconut, and poultry units, and the programme was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Sreekanth G.B. and Mr. Mrudul Pendurkar.
