Library Services
The library facility of the ICAR Research Complex for Goa is playing an important role in meeting the information needs of scientists, research scholars, farmers and the students of Goa. Library functions as a repository of all kinds of scientific and technical information on agriculture and allied sectors. The library is full-fledged with resources from National and International publishers. Presently, it holds about 4686 books under various themes of agriculture and allied sectors like Agronomy, Crop Science, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Entomology, Horticulture, Animal Science, Fishery Science and Food Science. The library is enriched with subscription for 39 Indian journals, digital version of Indian phytopathology and subscribed Indiastat.com website. The library has 2159 bound volumes of journals and scientific literatures (CAB Abstracts) since 1978. The library reserves a collection of Indian National Agricultural Bibliography between 1975 and 1984. Library holds the annual reports/newsletters/technical bulletins of various ICAR Institutes and SAU’s. To keep abreast of the activities of the Institute, the library sends the Annual Reports, Newsletters and Technical bulletins of ICAR Research Complex for Goa to various organizations including Universities, Developmental Departments and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. The library also supplies the research publications to various ICAR research institutes through Document Delivery Service.
