गोवा में जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए वैज्ञानिकों, विस्तार कर्मियों एवं किसानों के बीच समन्वय

    एटीएमए, उत्तर गोवा, कृषि निदेशालय, गोवा सरकार तथा आईसीएआर–कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र (केवीके), आईसीएआर–केंद्रीय तटीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान (सीसीएआरआई), उत्तर गोवा द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से 6 अगस्त 2026 को उत्तर गोवा के बिचोलिम तालुका के शिखारी में जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती पर अनुसंधानकर्ता–विस्तार कर्मी–किसान इंटरफेस बैठक का आयोजन किया गया।

    कार्यक्रम में श्री शुभम नाईक, उप कलेक्टर, उत्तर गोवा, गोवा सरकार मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे। प्रतिभागियों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कृषक समुदाय से वैज्ञानिक तकनीकों एवं टिकाऊ कृषि पद्धतियों को अपनाने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने कहा कि फसल उत्पादन के साथ पशुधन को एकीकृत करने से कृषि की लाभप्रदता बढ़ाई जा सकती है, कृषि संसाधनों का प्रभावी पुनर्चक्रण किया जा सकता है तथा दीर्घकाल में मृदा स्वास्थ्य एवं कृषि की स्थिरता में योगदान दिया जा सकता है।

    श्री कमलकांत तारी, अध्यक्ष, गौशाला ने गौशाला द्वारा संचालित विभिन्न गतिविधियों की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने पशुधन अपशिष्ट के प्रभावी पुनर्चक्रण तथा उसे मूल्यवर्धित जैविक उत्पादों में परिवर्तित करने पर प्रकाश डाला, जिससे कृषि में संसाधनों के चक्रीय उपयोग को बढ़ावा मिलता है।

    श्री प्रसाद पी. परब, परियोजना निदेशक, एटीएमए, उत्तर गोवा ने इंटरफेस कार्यक्रम के उद्देश्यों तथा कृषक समुदाय के लाभ के लिए एटीएमए द्वारा कार्यान्वित विभिन्न योजनाओं, कार्यक्रमों एवं किसान-केंद्रित गतिविधियों की जानकारी दी।

    श्री यशवंत गावस, क्षेत्रीय कृषि अधिकारी (ZAO), बिचोलिम ने मृदा जैव विविधता के संरक्षण, मृदा स्वास्थ्य को बनाए रखने, पर्यावरण संरक्षण तथा सुरक्षित एवं अवशेष-मुक्त कृषि उत्पादों के उत्पादन में जैविक खेती के महत्व पर जोर दिया।

    डॉ. एन. बोम्मायासामी, वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक एवं प्रमुख, आईसीएआर–केवीके, उत्तर गोवा ने जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती के सिद्धांतों एवं पद्धतियों के बीच प्रमुख अंतरों पर प्रकाश डाला तथा टिकाऊ कृषि में जैव उर्वरकों एवं जैव-नियंत्रण एजेंटों के महत्व को समझाया। उन्होंने पोषक तत्वों की उपलब्धता बढ़ाने, लाभकारी मृदा सूक्ष्मजीवों को प्रोत्साहित करने, फसल कीट एवं रोगों के नियंत्रण तथा सिंथेटिक रासायनिक इनपुट पर निर्भरता कम करने में इनकी भूमिका के बारे में विस्तार से बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि इन उपायों से मृदा स्वास्थ्य में सुधार तथा फसल उत्पादकता को बनाए रखने में सहायता मिलती है।

    कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत नीमास्त्र, जीवामृत, घनजीवामृत तथा फॉस्फेट-समृद्ध जैविक खाद (PROM) तैयार करने का व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन किया गया। प्रतिभागियों को मृदा की जैविक गतिविधि, पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन एवं फसल स्वास्थ्य में सुधार तथा सुरक्षित एवं गुणवत्तापूर्ण कृषि उत्पादों के उत्पादन के लिए इन जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती इनपुट के वैज्ञानिक उपयोग के बारे में जागरूक किया गया।

    कार्यक्रम में उत्तर गोवा के विभिन्न ब्लॉकों से कृषि निदेशालय के विस्तार अधिकारियों तथा प्रगतिशील किसानों सहित कुल 75 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया और लाभान्वित हुए। इंटरैक्टिव सत्र ने शोधकर्ताओं, विस्तार कर्मियों एवं किसानों के बीच ज्ञान एवं खेत-स्तरीय अनुभवों के सीधे आदान-प्रदान का अवसर प्रदान किया तथा जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती पद्धतियों को अपनाने से संबंधित व्यावहारिक समस्याओं के समाधान में सहायता की।

    कार्यक्रम का संयुक्त समन्वयन डॉ. एन. बोम्मायासामी, श्री प्रसाद पी. परब, श्री यशवंत गावस, डॉ. उद्हरवार, एस.वी., श्री राहुलकुमार तथा डॉ. निव्या, के.आर. द्वारा किया गया।

 

Bridging Scientist, Extension and Farmers for Advancing Organic and Natural Farming in Goa

 

ATMA, North Goa, Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Goa, and ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), North Goa, jointly organized a Researcher–Extension–Farmer Interface Meeting on Organic and Natural Farming at Shikari, Bicholim Taluka, North Goa, on 6 August 2026.

Shri Shubham Naik, Deputy Collector, North Goa, Government of Goa, graced the programme as the Chief Guest. Addressing the participants, he urged the farming community to adopt scientific technologies and sustainable agricultural practices. He emphasized that the integration of livestock with crop production can improve farm profitability, facilitate effective recycling of farm resources, and contribute to long-term soil health and sustainability.Shri Kamalakant Tari, President of the Gaushala, briefed the participants on various activities undertaken by the Gaushala. He highlighted the effective recycling of livestock waste and its conversion into value-added organic products, thereby promoting a circular approach to resource utilization in farming.

Shri Prasad P. Parab, Project Director, ATMA, North Goa, briefed the participants about the objectives of the interface programme and various schemes, programmes, and farmer-oriented activities being implemented by ATMA for the benefit of the farming community.

Shri Yashwant Gawas, Zonal Agriculture Officer (ZAO), Bicholim, emphasized the importance of organic farming in conserving soil biodiversity, maintaining soil health, protecting the environment, and producing safe and residue-free agricultural produce.

Dr. N. Bommayasamy, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR–KVK, North Goa, highlighted the key differences between organic and natural farming principles and practices and explained the importance of biofertilizers and biocontrol agents in sustainable agriculture. He elaborated on their role in enhancing nutrient availability, promoting beneficial soil microorganisms, suppressing crop pests and diseases, and reducing dependence on synthetic chemical inputs, thereby improving soil health and sustaining crop productivity.

As part of the programme, practical demonstrations were conducted on the preparation of Neemastra, Jeevamrit, Ghanajeevamrit, and Phosphate-Rich Organic Manure (PROM). The participants were sensitized to the scientific use of these organic and natural farming inputs for improving soil biological activity, nutrient management, crop health, and production of safe and quality agricultural produce.

A total of 75 participants, comprising extension officials from the Directorate of Agriculture and progressive farmers representing different blocks of North Goa, attended and benefited from the programme. The interactive session facilitated direct exchange of knowledge and field-level experiences among researchers, extension personnel, and farmers and helped address practical issues related to the adoption of organic and natural farming practices.The programme was jointly coordinated by Dr. N.
