गोवा के अर्ला केरी एवं माजीलवाडा, प्रियोल में ‘खेत बचाओ अभियान’ के अंतर्गत जागरूकता एवं क्षेत्रीय प्रदर्शन कार्यक्रम
आईसीएआर–केंद्रीय तटीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान (ICAR–CCARI), गोवा द्वारा खेत बचाओ अभियान के अंतर्गत अर्ला केरी एवं माजीलवाडा, प्रियोल में एक जागरूकता-सह-क्षेत्र भ्रमण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में प्रगतिशील किसान श्री अशोक शिकरकर (अर्ला केरी) एवं श्री सुदेश पैडारकर (माजीलवाडा) ने भाग लिया, जो मुख्यतः सुपारी, काजू एवं कटहल की खेती करते हैं।
तकनीकी सत्र में मृदा स्वास्थ्य के महत्व, संतुलित उर्वरक मात्रा के प्रयोग तथा जैविक खादों के उपयोग पर विशेष जोर दिया गया। क्षेत्र भ्रमण के दौरान किसानों को प्राकृतिक खेती में प्रयुक्त विभिन्न घोलों एवं तैयारियों का खेत पर ही व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन करके जानकारी दी गई।
भूमि के समुचित उपयोग के महत्व पर बल देते हुए किसानों को अपने खेतों को परती न छोड़ने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया। साथ ही, उन्हें यह बताया गया कि वैज्ञानिक कृषि पद्धतियों को अपनाकर कृषि उद्यमों की लाभप्रदता एवं दीर्घकालिक स्थिरता में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि की जा सकती है।
Awareness and Field Demonstration Programme on ‘Khet Bachao Abhiyan’ at Arla Keri and Magilwada, Priol, Goa
ICAR–CCARI, Goa, conducted an awareness-cum-field visit as part of the Khet Bachao Abhiyan at Arla Keri and Magilwada, Priol. The programme engaged progressive farmers Mr. Ashok Shikerkar (Arla Keri) and Mr. Sudesh Paidarkar (Magilwada), both of whom cultivate arecanut, cashew, and jackfruit.
The technical session focused on the critical importance of soil health, the application of balanced fertilizer doses, and the utilization of organic manures. During the field visit, the farmers were introduced to natural farming formulations through practical, on-site demonstrations. Emphasizing the importance of optimal land utilization, the team encouraged the farmers to avoid leaving fields fallow, providing them with actionable insights on how a scientific approach can significantly enhance the profitability and sustainability of their agricultural enterprises.
