ICAR-CCARI, Goa participated in the National Seminar on “Dairy Development in Goa-Opportunities and Challenges”

               ICAR-CCARI, Goa participated in the National Seminar on “Dairy Development in Goa-Opportunities and Challenges” organized by the Indian Dairy Association (WZ), in association with Govt. of Goa, Goa Dairy and Sumul Dairy. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI along with Dr. Gokuldas PP, Senior Scientist (Animal Reproduction) participated in the seminar which was held in CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa during 7 to 8th November, 2025.

    Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI was the Chairman of the Technical Session on ‘Role of dairy in Nutrition, Health and Livelihood’. Delivering the opening address in the technical session, Dr. Parveen Kumar emphasized on devising and implementing strategies for the Goa state to become self-reliant in dairy sector. He also highlighted the significance of scaling-up green fodder production and adoption of sustainable farmer-friendly technologies to enhance dairy animal productivity. Around three hundred delegates including veterinary professionals, dairy industry partners, academicians, government officials and progressive farmers participated in the event.
