ICAR–CCARI, Goa celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas)
ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26th November 2025 with the national theme “Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman.” As the nation commemorates 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India, the institute actively participated in this nationwide campaign.
All staff members along with 30 SC/ST farmers, officials from the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Goa, and the Spice Board of India participated in this event. Together, they read the Preamble of the Constitution of India, reaffirming their commitment to the core constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Participants were also informed about the dedicated portal ‘www.constitution75.com’ and were encouraged to upload their Preamble-reading videos and take part in the Constitution Day quiz. A short film on the Constitution Day was also screened during the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, highlighted the distinctive features of the Indian Constitution, which guarantees fundamental rights such as equality and freedom of speech to all citizens. He further emphasised that the Constitution lays the foundation for a strong parliamentary democracy that ensures social and economic justice while upholding national unity, integrity and secularism.
To enhance the visibility of the celebration, a social media awareness campaign was launched through the Institute’s website and its official Facebook and X (Twitter) platforms.
In total, 100 participants joined the campaign by reading the Preamble. The programme was organised and coordinated by Dr. Vinod Ubarhande, with support from Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati, Shri Rahul Kulkarni, Smt. Pranjali Wadekar and Smt. Sohini Sawant.
