Agri-Drone Demonstration under Sewa Pakwada at Alorna, Pernem

 

    ICAR - Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), North Goa, and ICAR - Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa, in collaboration with the Zonal Agricultural Office (ZAO), Pernem, and ATMA, North, Government of Goa, organized a demonstration on nano fertilizer s pray using agri-drone under Sewa Pakhwada at Alorna, Pernem, Goa on 25 September, 2025.

     The programme was graced by Shri Ranjit Mhapsekar, ZAO Pernem, who motivated farmers to adopt modern technologies for ensuring sustainable agriculture. Shri Shubham Satardekar, AAO Pernem, addressed the gathering and explained the benefits of using nano fertilizers as an alternative to conventional fertilizers. Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati, Technical Officer and Drone Pilot, ICAR - KVK, CCARI, North Goa, emphasized the advantages of drone technology in agriculture, highlighting its efficiency, precision, and time-saving potential in fertilizer application. He also conducted a live demonstration in paddy fields, providing farmers with practical exposure to drone-based spraying.

     An interactive discussion session was held to clarify farmers’ queries. The programme was effectively supported by Shri Sagar Nanoskar, EO; Shri Sandeep Malik, Agricultural Assistant; and Shri Vaibhav Chodankar, ATM, ATMA North Goa. . A total of 18 progressive farmers from the region actively participated in the event.
