Dr. R. K. Singh, Assistant Director General (Agrl. Extension), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, visited the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Ella, Old Goa, North Goa, on 31 January 2026. Dr. R.K. Singh reviewed the activities of KVK and visited its demonstration units. He interacted with KVK officials and offered valuable suggestions to further strengthen extension activities. Emphasizing sustainable agriculture and farmer-centric development, Dr R.K. Singh highlighted the need for effective dissemination of climate-resilient technologies and demand-driven extension approaches tailored to the agro-ecological conditions of the region. He emphasized the importance of systematically documenting natural farming practices. He highly appreciated the multi-faceted extension approach, effective outreach programmes, and innovative activities undertaken by ICAR-KVK, North Goa. Dr. Syed Shakir Ali, Principal Scientist, ICAR-ATARI, Pune, was also present and shared valuable suggestions. Dr. N. Bommayasamy, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK, North Goa, briefed the dignitaries on the KVK’s significant achievements in technology assessment, demonstration, capacity building, recognition received at the state and national levels, institutional collaborations, popularization of region-specific crop varieties, livestock breeds, as well as the intellectual property rights registered by the ICAR-KVK, CCARI team. The interaction meeting and field visit programme was coordinated by Dr. N. Bommayasamy, Dr. Sanjaykumar Udharwar, Mr. Rahul Kumar, Dr. Nivya K. R., Mr. Vishwajeet Prajapati, and Mr. Aishwar Kumar Tiwari.
