First meeting of the State Level Coordination Committee for Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Rabi 2025) held at ICAR-CCARI, Goa
A meeting of the State Level Coordination Committee for VKSA Rabi 2025 was held at CCARI, Goa on 4th September 2025 at 10.00 am onwards. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director of CCARI, Goa, and Nodal Officer for Goa State. Dr. Parveen Kumar greeted all the members of the committee and gave a brief overview of the meeting's importance. Shri Sandeep Foldessai, Director, Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Goa and State nodal officer, co-chaired the meeting. The agenda of the meeting was to deliberate on the action plan for implementation of the VKSA programme for the forthcoming Rabi season, to plan for state level workshop to be chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and to discuss on next five-year plans for agricultural development in the State of Goa. And, to identify state specific priorities to strengthen research, extension and to develop technologies.
Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services; Deputy Director, Directorate of Fisheries; DDM, NABARD; representative of GSBB; Project Director, ATMA, North Goa; Project Director, ATMA, South Goa; Principals of Goa College of Agriculture and Goa Veterinary College; and Project Coordinators of KVK North and South Goa were present during the meeting. The scientific staff from CCARI, Subject matter specialists from KVK, North Goa were also present during the meeting.
A brief presentation on five-year action plan was made by Dr. Solomon Rajkumar, Senior Scientist, CCARI. A discussion was encouraged to get the inputs from the coordination committee to formulate the five-year action plan and plan of action of VKSA Rabi 2025. Chairman and State Nodal Officer, Dr. Parveen Kumar, gave the concluding remarks. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Manohara K.K., Senior Scientist and Member Secretary (VKSA).
