उत्तर गोवा के मोरजीम में किसान संवाद बैठक आयोजित
आईसीएआर-सीसीएआरआई के तत्वावधान में उत्तर गोवा के मोरजीम में मत्स्य एवं कृषि किसानों के लिए एक संवादात्मक बैठक आयोजित की गई। इस कार्यक्रम में सरपंच सहित 14 प्रगतिशील किसानों ने भाग लिया। बैठक का मुख्य उद्देश्य रासायनिक उर्वरकों के अत्यधिक उपयोग को कम करने की आवश्यकता पर बल देना तथा ग्रामीण आजीविका एवं आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण में मत्स्य क्षेत्र की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को उजागर करना था।
बैठक के दौरान मत्स्य क्षेत्र की विशिष्ट आवश्यकताओं का विस्तृत आकलन किया गया तथा किसानों से उनकी प्रशिक्षण संबंधी आवश्यकताओं को साझा करने का आग्रह किया गया, ताकि उनके लिए विशेष क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जा सकें। किसानों को खेतों में फसल अवशेष जलाने से बचने की सलाह दी गई। इसके बजाय उन्हें अवशेषों को खाद में परिवर्तित करने तथा ग्लिरिसिडिया जैसे हरी खाद के उपयोग को अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया।
कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन डॉ. श्रीपाद भाट, वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक (कृषि अर्थशास्त्र), आईसीएआर-सीसीएआरआई, गोवा द्वारा किया गया।
Interactive Farmer Meeting Organized at Morjim, North Goa
An interactive meeting was organized for the fisheries and
agricultural farmers of Morjim, North Goa, with the
participation of 14 progressive farmers including sarpanch. The
session focused on the critical importance of reducing excessive
chemical fertilizer use and highlighted the vital role of
fisheries in enhancing rural livelihoods and boosting economic
conditions. During the interaction, a detailed assessment of the
specific requirements of the fisheries sector was conducted, and
the farming community was requested to share their targeted
training needs to facilitate the organization of dedicated
capacity-building programs. Farmers were advised to stop burning
farm residues; instead, they should convert it to manure and
also use green manure like gliricidia.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Shripad Bhat, Senior
Scientist (Agricultural Economics), ICAR-CCARI, Goa.
