दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान (डीआरआई) के सदस्य सचिव श्री अभय महाजन ने किया आईसीएआर–सीसीएआरआई, गोवा का भ्रमण

 

    दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान (डीआरआई), चित्रकूट, मध्य प्रदेश के सदस्य सचिव श्री अभय महाजन ने 14 जुलाई 2026 को आईसीएआर–केंद्रीय तटीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान (आईसीएआर–सीसीएआरआई), गोवा का भ्रमण किया तथा संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों के साथ सतत तटीय कृषि के लिए संचालित अनुसंधान, प्रौद्योगिकी विकास एवं विस्तार गतिविधियों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की।

    संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. प्रवीण कुमार ने उनका हार्दिक स्वागत किया तथा संस्थान के उद्देश्यों, प्रमुख अनुसंधान उपलब्धियों एवं वर्तमान अनुसंधान एवं विकास कार्यक्रमों की जानकारी दी। भ्रमण के दौरान आईसीएआर–सीसीएआरआई के वैज्ञानिकों ने उन्हें विभिन्न अनुसंधान प्रक्षेत्रों, प्रायोगिक इकाइयों तथा प्रदर्शन स्थलों का अवलोकन कराया और तटीय कृषि प्रणालियों के लिए विकसित विभिन्न कृषि प्रौद्योगिकियों से अवगत कराया।

    श्री महाजन के साथ डीआरआई के कोषाध्यक्ष श्री वसंत पंडित भी उपस्थित थे। उन्हें प्राकृतिक खेती, धान आधारित उत्पादन प्रणाली, पशु विज्ञान, प्राकृतिक संसाधन प्रबंधन, जैविक अपशिष्ट एवं बायोमास पुनर्चक्रण तथा जलवायु-अनुकूल कृषि प्रौद्योगिकियों सहित सतत कृषि एवं परिपत्र जैव-अर्थव्यवस्था (सर्कुलर बायो-इकोनॉमी) को बढ़ावा देने वाले संस्थान के विभिन्न अनुसंधान कार्यों की जानकारी दी गई।

    उन्होंने कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र (केवीके), उत्तर गोवा का भी भ्रमण किया, जहाँ उन्होंने विषय विशेषज्ञों एवं कर्मचारियों से संवाद किया तथा किसानों के लिए संचालित विस्तार एवं क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रमों की सराहना की। भ्रमण के दौरान उन्होंने उद्यानिकी प्रयोगशाला का भी अवलोकन किया, जहाँ मूल्य संवर्धन एवं फसलोत्तर प्रौद्योगिकियों तथा उनसे विकसित उत्पादों का प्रदर्शन किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने संस्थान की कृषि-पर्यटन (एग्रो-इकोटूरिज्म) सुविधाओं, जिनमें नवग्रह वाटिका, राशि वाटिका एवं नक्षत्र वाटिका शामिल हैं, का भी निरीक्षण किया।

 

Shri Abhay Mahajan, Member Secretary, DRI, Visited ICAR–CCARI, Goa

 

    Shri Abhay Mahajan, Member Secretary, Deendayal Research Institute (DRI), Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, visited ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute Goa on 14thJuly 2026, and interacted with the scientific team on the Institute's research, technology development, and extension initiatives for sustainable coastal agriculture. The visiting dignitary was warmly welcomed by Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR–CCARI, who briefed him on the Institute's mandate, major research achievements, and ongoing initiatives. During the visit, scientists of ICAR–CCARI guided him through various research farms, experimental units, and demonstration facilities, showcasing technologies developed for coastal farming systems.

    Shri Mahajan, accompanied by Shri Vasant Pandit, Treasurer, DRI, were briefed on the Institute's work in natural farming, paddy-based production systems, animal science, natural resource management, biomass recycling, and other climate-resilient technologies that promote sustainable agriculture and a circular bio-economy. He also visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), North Goa, interacted with the Subject Matter Specialists and staff, and appreciated the extension and capacity-building programmes being implemented for farmers. The visit included the Horticulture Laboratory, where value-added and post-harvest technologies and products were showcased, as well as the Institute's Agro-Ecotourism facilities, including the Navagraha, Rashi and Nakshatra Vatika.

    Appreciating the Institute's multidisciplinary research, activities of KVK, field demonstrations, and farmer-centric innovations, Shri Abhay Mahajan commended ICAR–CCARI's significant contributions towards sustainable coastal agriculture and rural development. He conveyed his best wishes to the Institute for its continued excellence in research, innovation, and technology dissemination for the benefit of farmers and other stakeholders. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Manohara K. K., Dr. Bommayasamy N., Dr. Gopal R. Mahajan and Dr. Vinod A. Ubarhande who facilitated the technical interactions and guided the visiting dignitary through the Institute's research, demonstration, and extension facilities.
