Technical Outreach on Soil Health Restoration and Natural Farming Systems
An awareness campaign was conducted for a group of 10 progressive farmers in Keri village, Goa, to address the critical issue of soil degradation caused by excessive use of synthetic chemical inputs. The session provided a technical platform to highlight the vital importance of transitioning toward a balanced nutrient management strategy, which integrates precise fertilizer doses with organic manures to maintain soil vitality. A core focus of the outreach was the practical demonstration of natural farming formulations, specifically Jeevamrut and Ghan Jeevamrut, as effective bio-resources for enhancing soil microbial activity and crop resilience. By sensitizing the farming community to the long-term ecological consequences of lopsided fertilization, the campaign emphasized the "Waste-to-Wealth" concept through the onsite preparation of indigenous formulations. Farmers were urged to adopt these sustainable practices to not only restore soil structure and health but also to reduce cultivation costs.
