Under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre- Kharif Campaign), KVK North Goa and ICAR-CCARI organized an awareness programme on 5th June 2025 at Tuem village, North Goa. The event aimed at educating farmers on key agricultural and allied practices for the upcoming Kharif season.
 

    Experts from KVK and ICAR CCARI provided guidance on improved practices in paddy cultivation and promoted backyard poultry farming as a sustainable source of supplementary income for rural households. Farmers were also briefed on various state agriculture and livestock development schemes to enhance their access to government support and incentives. Additionally, awareness was created on the use of drones in agriculture, particularly for spraying operations, to emphasize the role of modern technology in improving efficiency, reducing input costs, and ensuring timely crop protection. The programme encouraged farmers to adopt integrated approaches for sustainable and profitable farming.
