Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyaan from May 29 to June 12, 2025

KVK North Goa, and ICAR-CCARI, organized a Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre- Kharif Campaign) on 31st May 2025 at Surla village, North Goa. The programme aimed to promote sustainable agriculture through improved crop management and farmer support initiatives. The session focused on best practices in vegetable cultivation, highlighting techniques to enhance productivity and maintain soil health. Scientists and Subject Matter Specialists from ICAR CCARI also provided insights into effective pest management strategies to reduce crop losses and minimize dependence on chemical inputs. Additionally, farmers were informed about the benefits and application process of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, encouraging them to access institutional credit for agricultural and allied activities. The programme aimed to empower farmers with knowledge and resources for improved livelihood security.
