The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre-Kharif Campaign) was held on 1st June 2025 at Shiroli village under Ker Gram Panchayat, Sattari taluka, North Goa by ICAR-CCARI and KVK, North Goa. During the event, agricultural experts from ICAR-CCARI, Goa engaged with the farming community and provided valuable insights on the adoption of improved, climate-resilient crop varieties suited to changing climatic conditions. Key topics included management of button shedding (fruit drop) in coconut and arecanut, promotion of beekeeping, and awareness of various state and central government schemes available for farmers.
    The program witnessed active participation from local officials and agricultural experts. Among those present were representatives from Keri Gram Panchayat, panchayat members, and former Sarpanch. Dr. Manohara K. K., Senior Scientist, ICAR-CCARI, Goa; Mr. Vishwanath N. Gawas, Zonal Agriculture Officer, Valpoi; Mr. Shivraji Koshinath Gad, Branch Manager, Goa State Cooperative Bank; and officials from ATMA North Goa took part in the event. They interacted with farmers, addressed their queries, and guided them on best practices for the upcoming Kharif season.
