Goa Chief Minister Dr. Promod Sawant graced the Viksit Krishi Sakalp Abhiyan (VKSA) of ICAR-CCARI with his presence at Raia village

 

    Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, visited Raia village to inaugurate the 2025 Kharif season during a programme organized by The Don Bosco Society in collaboration with the Directorate of Agriculture. During the visit, he interacted with ICAR-CCARI scientists and local farmers. Addressing the farmers and officials from various line departments, Dr. Sawant appreciated the significant contributions of ICAR-CCARI to the agricultural progress of Goa. He also highlighted the Government of Goa’s comprehensive support for paddy cultivation—from seed procurement to the marketing of produce. He encouraged all state line departments to work in close coordination with ICAR to drive the growth and development of agriculture in the state. The ICAR-CCARI team, led by Director Dr. Parveen Kumar, expressed sincere thanks to the Chief Minister for his continued support to the VKSA initiative and reiterated their commitment to advancing Goan agriculture through innovative technologies.
