ICAR-CCARI, Goa conducted training-cum-distribution and farmers’ interaction meet under Institute STC Fund in collaboration with Agriculture District Office, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

    ICAR-CCARI, Goa organized Training-cum-Distribution and Farmers’ interaction meet under Scheduled Tribe Component in collaboration with Agriculture District Office, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 19th March 2025. A total of 30 women farmer participants from 3 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of Tangi and Jatani blocks of Khordha district, Odisha attended the programme. Shri Manoranjan Roul, ADO, Bhubaneswar welcomed all the delegates and briefed about the training-cum-distribution programme. In the inaugural address, Mr Ravi Narayan Senapati, CDAO, Khordha, Odisha appreciated the effort of ICAR-CCARI, Goa towards the upliftment of ST women farmers’ livelihood. Dr Shirish Narnaware, Senior Scientist, ICAR-CCARI, Goa briefed about the various activities of ICAR-CCARI, Goa mandated for the coastal region. Dr Amiya Ranjan Sahu, Scientist, ICAR-CCARI, Goa informed about the Scheduled Tribe Component of Govt. of India for supporting the livelihood of the ST beneficiaries. Inputs like Silpauline Vermibed and Honey Bee Box with Bee Colony were distributed to all three SHG groups of Khordha, Odisha. During the valedictory function, special thanks have been conferred to Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa for his support to organize the programme. Dr. Shirish D. Narnaware, Senior Scientist and Dr. Amiya Ranjan Sahu, Scientist of ICAR-CCARI, Goa and Shri Manoranjan Mishra (ADO, Tangi) and Shri Sthitapragya Khamari (BAO, Balianta) coordinated the programme.
