Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyaan from May 29 to June 12, 2025

The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre- Kharif Campaign) was conducted by ICAR-KVK North Goa and ICAR-CCARI at Mauxi Gram Panchayat in Sattari taluka, North Goa on 3-06-2025. The campaign focused on educating farmers about improved agricultural practices and technologies. Key topics covered included cashew cultivation techniques, pest and disease management in cashew, climate change impacts on cashew flowering and pest incidence, turmeric cultivation and its value addition, effective use of cow dung, soil test-based nutrient management, preparation of Jeevamrit, organic vegetable farming, and information on various state and central government schemes.
    The event saw active participation from local leaders and experts. Ms. Sulbha Desai, Sarpanch, along with other panchayat members and Mr. Krishna Goankar, former panchayat member, attended the program. Dr. Raghunandan, Scientist from ICAR-CCARI, Ms. Shubhangi S. Kesarkar, Branch Manager of Goa State Cooperative Bank, and officials from ATMA North Goa also interacted with the farmers, offering guidance and addressing their queries.
