Awareness programme organized for farmers under SCSP at Malwan, Maharashtra

 

An awareness programme under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) was organized on 26^th July 2025 at Wayangani village, Malvan taluka, Sindhdurg district, Maharashtra. The programme was attended by 12 farmers, including three women. Mr. Mrudul Umesh Pendurkar, Young Professional-I, ICAR-CCARI, interacted with the participants and provided an overview of the institute’s research activities and its commitment to improving rural livelihoods through agricultural, livestock, and fisheries interventions. He also highlighted various government schemes and support mechanisms available to Scheduled Caste farmers under the SCSP initiative. The farmers actively participated in the session and expressed interest in adopting scientific farming practices. They also appreciated the outreach efforts and requested continued technical guidance and support from ICAR-CCARI. The programme was coordinated by Dr Sreekanth GB, Senior Scientist (FRM) and Mr. Mrudul Pendulkar, YP-1, ICAR-CCARI.
