Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyaan from May 29 to June 12, 2025

The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre- Kharif Campaign) was organized on 4th June 2025 at Ibrampur-Hankhane village, Pernem Taluka, by ICAR-CCARI and KVK North Goa. The programme focused on promoting Natural and Organic Farming, Community Farming, and Integrated Farming Systems. Experts from KVK and ICAR CCARI provided agro-advisories for crops like rice, coconut, arecanut, cashew, avocado, banana, and sapota. Key issues such as bud rot and button shedding in coconut and arecanut were addressed. Demonstrations on Jeevamrut preparation, vermicomposting, farm mechanization, and water harvesting techniques were conducted. Information on state and central government schemes, including the PM-KUSUM scheme, was also shared.
    Officials including Mr. Ranjit Melhapswkar (ZAO Pernem), Mr. Vaman Naik, Panchayat members, Mr. Ramkrishna Betkekar (Goa State Cooperative Bank, Bicholim), and ATMA North Goa representatives interacted with farmers and encouraged the adoption of sustainable farming practices.
