Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Hon'ble Director General, ICRISAT visited ICAR-CCARI, Goa

 

Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Hon’ble Director General of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad, visited the ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa, on 23 March 2025. During his visit, Dr. Pathak engaged with the institute’s scientists and staff, providing valuable insights and guidance on advancing research initiatives tailored to the needs of coastal farmers. He also discussed potential collaborations between ICAR institutes and the CGIAR network to enhance research and development efforts. During this brief visit, Dr. Pathak toured few experimental fields at the institute, gaining first-hand knowledge of the ongoing research activities. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, felicitated Dr. Himanshu Pathak during his maiden visit to the Institute as a Director General of ICRISAT, a prestigious CGIAR institute. He briefed the DG on the institute’s diverse and multidisciplinary research programs aimed at benefiting the coastal farming community. The visit was coordinated by Shri Vinod Ubarhande, ACTO (FS).
