As part of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA), KVK North Goa and ICAR-CCARI conducted an outreach programme on 2nd June 2025 at Bhironda village, North Goa. The event focused on enhancing farmers’ knowledge and preparedness for the Kharif season through practical and policy-oriented support.
    Subject Matter Specialists and Scientists from ICAR CCARI shared best practices for coconut cultivation, emphasizing nutrient management and effective cultural practices to improve yield and quality. The session also covered pest management strategies within Integrated Farming Systems (IFS), highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to farming for increased productivity and sustainability. Farmers were made aware of various government schemes related to crop damage compensation and risk mitigation, encouraging them to utilize these schemes to safeguard their livelihoods against climate and pest-related uncertainties.
