As part of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Pre- Kharif Campaign), KVK North Goa and ICAR-CCARI, organized an awareness programme on 7th June 2025 at Assnora village. ICAR-CCARI experts conducted an awareness programme focusing on Natural and Organic Farming practices, Innovative Farming methods, and Climate-resilient Agriculture. Farmers were introduced to the benefits of Agroforestry and given detailed guidance on bamboo plantation techniques.
The programme also addressed effective pest management strategies specifically for cashew and coconut crops, which are vital to the region's economy. A live demonstration on the preparation and application of Jeevamrut was carried out to promote the use of natural inputs for enhancing soil fertility and crop health. The event aimed to equip farmers with knowledge and tools to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices.
