Greenhouse Engineering

  • Design of location specific greenhouses

Modelling and Simulation

  • Application of finite element analysis in greenhouse and food processing. Modeling of heat and mass transfer processes

  • Time dependent modeling of drying processes

  • Artificial Neural Networks for prediction and classification

Food Safety

  • Detection and quantification of foodborne pathogens using Fourier Transform Infra-Red

  • Spectroscopy and Artificial Neural Networks.

  • Worked with identification and differentiation of common foodborne pathogens.

  • Microbiological work with bio-hazardous pathogens, their isolation, enrichment, culturing, growth in suitable media

  • Depth profile analysis and spectral analysis of foodborne on various solid food using

  • Photo Acoustic Spectroscopy

  • Advanced knowledge of use of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, Raman Microscope, Photoacoustic Spectroscopy, Surface Plasma Resonance, NMR, Z . Nose

  •  Working with tribal farmers of Goa in following two projects under tribal sub plan

    • Agricultural Mechanization Program for Small and Marginal Tribal farmers of Goa

    • Naturally ventilated greenhouse for seedling production and crop cultivation for providing livelihood  opportunities for Tribal of Goa
