Commemoration of 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’ at ICAR CCARI Goa

 

ICAR - Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa launched the Commemoration of 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’ the National Song, with mass singing of the “Vande Maratam” by the officials and staff of the Institute and KVK, North Goa on 7th November, 2025. This year-long commemorative programme across the country aims to highlight the contribution of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and reaffirm the values of unity, sacrifices and love for the nation embodied in Vande Mataram. The commemoration will be observed from 07th November 2025 to 7th November 2026 in four phases. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, briefed the importance and significance of this Commemoration of 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’ with the background of the song and how it became an anthem for the freedom fighters. All staff members of the Institute and KVK North Goa participated in the mass singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. Dr. Vinod A. Ubarhande and Dr. N. Bommayasamy, Nodal officers for this commemoration programme coordinated the launch with mass singing, with technical support from Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati.
