Research interests and current focus

  1. Development of  package of practices for economic milk production from cattle and buffalo under climate change scenario  

  2. Development of  package of practices for cost effective  meat production from goat and rabbit under climate change scenario  

  3. Livestock based Integrated Farming System for small and marginal farmer in different agro climatic condition.

  4. Study on the impact of microclimatological changes on livestock and livestock production

  5. Development of adaptation strategies to ameliorate adverse impact of climate change on livestock specially cattle, buffalo, goat and rabbit.

 Outreach and extension

  1.  Demonstration, training and consultancy service to different class of users such as scientist, professor, teacher, state officials, farmer, animal lover, livestock owner, students, unemployed youths etc regularly on the aspect of housing,  production and management of different livestock such as goat, rabbit, cattle and buffalo under climate change scenario; livestock based integrated farming system etc.

  1. Awarded National Fellow of Animal Production Management" (FNAPM) received on 29.1.15 from President of ISAPM during National Seminar and Annual Convention at CAU, Selesis, Aizwal, Mizoram.

  2.  Oral presentation award in the “2 nd International Conference on Animal and Dairy Science” organized by OMICS Publishing Pvt. Ltd held on 16.9.14.
