Research interests

·         Diagnosis and surveillance of infectious diseases of livestock and wildlife

·       Toxicopathology and molecular pathology of lab animals and livestock.

·       Disease resistance with reference to Toll Like Receptors (TLRs) and pro-inflammatory cytokines in innate immune response against brucellosis, rabies and other diseases of lab animals and livestock.

·      Patho-epidemiology and molecular characterization of infectious and parasitic goat diseases

 

Outreach and Extension

  • Development of health packages and practices for control of goat diseases, popularization of goat health calendar, vaccination and health management of goats.

  • Involved in disease outbreak investigations and advising suitable control measures in control of goat diseases

  • Demonstration, training and consultancy service to farmers about diseases of goats and measures for their control and management, vaccination and health management in goats, goat rearing practices and public health issues/zoonotic diseases of goats, post mortem methods, collection and dispatch of morbid materials for disease investigation in goats under TOT programmes.
